J.S. Bach Cello Suites

Please discuss here.

  1. To me, the suites are the extraction of the genius that is Bach.

Even those who don't listen to classical music can appreciate them--not only because the Prelude is heard often throughout popular culture--but because it's so beautifuly melodic. It's so rich, even though there is no surface harmony I think the human ear almost gathers harmony from the peice's architecture.

Bach is one of DaVinci's perpetual motion machines realized, no more apparent then in the suites.
